Games On Receipts

Games On Receipts prints puzzles at the bottom of the customer's receipt — mazes, sudoku and tic-tac-toe boards. Activate the packs you like, let the app print a random puzzle on every sale, or print a specific one on demand.

Overview

How it works

1

Packs are switched on, not downloaded one by one

Mazes, Sudoku and Tic Tac Toe come as packs; AVAILABLE activates one.

2

Printing is random by default

With the setting on, each receipt gets a different puzzle from your active packs.

3

Or you choose the puzzle

Inside a pack every puzzle has a preview and its own PRINT button.

4

It adds to the receipt length

A puzzle is a picture; expect a longer receipt when random printing is on.

The app never replaces the Clover Register — it adds to it. Payments, taxes and reporting stay in Clover.

Configuration

Setup scenarios

Each scenario is a complete configuration — follow the steps in order.

Most configuration screens require the Clover employee role of Manager or Admin.
1Print a random puzzle on every receipt

The simplest setup: turn it on and the receipts do the rest.

  1. Open Games On Receipts — the packs Mazes, Sudoku and Tic Tac Toe are listed.
  2. Tap AVAILABLE on the packs that suit your customers.
  3. Open a pack to see the individual puzzles and their previews.
  4. Open Settings and turn Print on receipts (random games) on.
  5. Serve a customer and check the printed receipt.
Puzzles make receipts longer. If paper cost matters, activate fewer packs or print on demand only.
2Print a puzzle on request

A family with children at the table, or a customer who has to wait.

  1. Turn Print on receipts (random games) off in Settings if you do not want it on every receipt.
  2. Open the pack you want, for example Mazes.
  3. Find the puzzle in the list — each one shows a preview.
  4. Tap its PRINT button to send it to the receipt printer.
  5. Hand it over with the order.
3A campaign for selected customers

A loyalty or kids' club promotion aimed at a specific group.

  1. Open Settings and turn on Assign customers in the Register app.
  2. Assign the customer to the order in the Clover Register.
  3. Activate the pack you use for the campaign.
  4. Print manually, or leave random printing on for the duration of the campaign.
  5. Deactivate the pack when the campaign is over.

Everyday use

What the cashier does after the app is configured.

  1. With random printing on, nothing to do — puzzles appear on receipts by themselves.
  2. To hand a specific puzzle to a waiting family, open the pack and tap its PRINT button.
  3. Turn the switch off during busy hours if receipt length matters.

The same puzzle repeats.Activate more packs so the app has more to choose from.
The app's dialog never appears on the payment screen; Clover shows "Customer is choosing payment method".Open the Clover Setup app → Payments and uncheck Automatically take payment on Connected Device, so payment is taken on the primary device.
Settings cannot be opened or changed.Sign in with an employee whose Clover role is Manager or Admin. Some apps also have their own Restrict access switch that locks the configuration.
The app works erratically, or stops reacting after the device has been idle.Turn off Battery Saver in the device's Android settings and keep the device online.
A change made on one device is not visible on another.Settings sync through the cloud; give it a minute and make sure both devices have a network connection.
